Good to know

  • A tiled watermark is much harder to crop out than one in a corner.
  • White text vanishes on a bright photo and dark text on a dark one. Try a mid-tone colour if you are unsure.
  • A watermark discourages copying, it does not prevent it. Anything visible can be edited out by someone determined.

Questions

Can I use my logo instead of text?

Not here. This tool only stamps text.

Will the watermark be permanent?

It is drawn into the pixels of the new file, so it cannot be switched off. Your original is untouched.

What size should it be?

Around 5 to 8 percent works for a corner mark. Use larger and lighter for a tiled one.
