How to crop an image online

  1. Add a picture.
  2. Drag on it to draw the crop area. Drag a corner to resize it or drag inside to move it.

Good to know

  • The crop is made from the full-resolution picture, not from the preview you see on screen.
  • The file keeps its format. JPG stays JPG, PNG stays PNG.

Questions

Does cropping reduce quality?

No pixels are changed. The part you keep is exactly as sharp as it was. A JPG is saved again, but at high quality.

Can I crop to exact pixels?

Yes. Type the left, top, width and height into the boxes. They show the real pixel values.

Why does the ratio keep changing my selection?

A locked ratio forces the box to keep its shape. Choose Free to draw any rectangle.
